Microsoft has released the bits for Windows 2008 RC 0, which includes the code for Viridian, the hypervisor built to compete with VMware.
I haven’t had a chance to install this version yet, but I’m eager to see what Microsoft has actually been able to do. I’m an ardent fan of VMware’s Virtual Infrastructure 3.0 and knowing the capabalities of that system, Microsoft has a lot of ground to make up to actually be competitive.
